Born in Dallas, Texas circa 1978
I caught my first fish on a cane pole when I was just a lil' rascal
I was fishing off a bridge with my dad and my brother
I've been hooked ever since, literally and figuratively
My Papa Harold gave me a 1978 Lincoln Versailles for my sixteenth birthday
It had leather interior, an 8 track, and expired Oklahoma plates
I've been a wanderlust stricken fool ever since
One Thanksgiving he told me that he’d shot more Bobwhite Quail than anyone else in The West
I believe him
I'm proud as hell to have the middle name Harold
I have a finance degree from Texas Tech University
Judging by my finances I’ve never used it
I enjoy taking pictures of the American West
I prefer to take lonesome images
But sometimes I can’t resist taking a happy one
I still believe in the Rule of Thirds
Sometimes magical things happen in nature
Some of my photos capture those fleeting moments
A few of those moments lasted just long enough to take one picture
Others felt like they'd never end
I remember every single one of those moments vividly
I truly hope you enjoy some of those moments
When I was twenty years old I spent the summer fishing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming
I bought a cheap camera that summer
I ain't never been the same since
Thank God
